I should note that I did use the physical therapy center for about a month once as well, and I had good experiences with that and the staff was good. Keep that in mind!

I only just now thought that I should leave a review here.

My wife went in to emergency room on a Friday late afternoon with significant painful eye injury. Took almost 2 hours to see doctor. We could handle that, but you would think she could get something for the pain in the meantime? Obviously not! However, the help she finally got was good.

Oh, and before I ever went to other hospitals, I had no idea that healthcare could be so much better than this sorry excuse for it I had come to accept as a standard.

I have had almost nothing but bad experiences with this hospital, both before the move to this location and after.

My parents receive their medical care at Perham Health. The staff is wonderful and care excellent.

My ex-wife has a lot of health issues, and no matter how many times we came here, we never got answers or real help. One time in particular I remember going into the E.R. and waiting for 3 hours while she felt completely miserable before the doctor even came in and we had large wait times between people coming in for anything. The E.R. was NOT overloaded either. Eventually we got fed up, and drove an hour to Staples to go to a different hospital. On the way, someone called and asked if we had left, I responded that we had, and they told me the test results were back and what was wrong, but the service was so poor and the wait was so ridiculous I would have nothing to do with it. We continued to Staples, there, we got much better service, treatment, and wait times, and found out the Perham hospital got it wrong anyway.

I have personally never gotten any results or adequate answers from doctors any time I've ever visited this hospital either, save for one time, in the old location, where I actually liked the nurse and got adequate treatment.

Other than this, they also forwarded my fiance's debit card number to a collection agency. The collector's called, and it was a small bill but we assured them repeatedly that we did not have the money to pay for it at the time. She did not authorize them to charge her card or give them her card number. A week following this, they tried charging her card twice, but failed, because we had no money. They quadrupled the bill because of this, even though they were never authorized to charge her card and never given her card number.

You may have a nicer hospital and better equipment now, but it means nothing if you still have a poor staff! I know very few people who have anything good to say at all, and I am very surprised so few have reviewed it!

My fiance went in there also, just last year, and the experience was also horrible. The receptionist was nice, and she did a good job, but the nurse and doctor were both rude and treated her like she wasn't important and they just wanted her out of the way. The doctor even said to her when she made an uncomfortable squeam and withdrawal, "are you serious?" and to stop wasting his time. He also said "How old are you!?" The only thing they did for her was treat a scrape on her forehead, which needed no stitches. She had been in an accident and we only went in because we didn't know the extent of her injuries. The wait times were very short this time, but both the doctor and nurse were rude. After placing a bandage over the scrape, the nurse proceeded to laugh at how it looked. They also gave her a tetanus shot, and assured her that she wouldn't need one for 10 years, even if she got pregnant. After she got pregnant the same year, she needed another one. We did call and complain to the administrative staff after, I was not updated if anything was actually done about it or not, but we were nonetheless left with a $1,000 bill for a forehead scrape.

Every experience I have with this hospital is a disappointment and gets continually worse. I drive an hour to a different town every single time me or my family has to go to the hospital, because it is just that bad.
